The Severance Silver Knights entered their tilt with the Skyline Falcons with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. Severance blew past the Falcons 58-32. Severance has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 23 points or more this season.
Severance's win on Saturday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Blake Varney, who scored 13 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Ewoniuk, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Despite the loss, Skyline saw an underclassman step up: Diego Kheng scored ten points along with five steals. Kheng is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played.
Skyline struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Severance has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Skyline, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-8.
Severance will head out on the road to square off against the Grizzlies at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Northridge: they have been struggling with six straight losses at home, while the Silver Knights have snatched up five consecutive wins on the road. Skyline will take on the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Thompson Valley's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven matches.
