Monarch found their leader in sophomore Sienna Williams, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Williams is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least ten every time she's taken the court this season. Ginger Milot was another key player, going 5 for 7 en route to 12 points in addition to seven assists and five steals.
Monarch was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northfield). They blew past Denver South 75-31 on Friday. With that win, the Nighthawks brought their scoring average up to 50.8 points per game.
Northfield found their leader in sophomore LaPorsha Allen, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 16 rebounds. With that strong performance, Allen is now averaging an impressive 8.7 boards per game. Another player making a difference was Aliyah Herron, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 18 points and three steals.
Monarch's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Northfield, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Monarch has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 39.4 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Northfield struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.2 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Monarch couldn't quite finish off Northfield in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 and fell 41-39. Will Monarch have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other basketball content.
