Oroville is 2-8 against Gridley since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Tuesday. The Oroville Tigers will be playing at home against the Gridley Bulldogs at 7:30  p.m. Oroville will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1061st, while Gridley is ranked 299th).
 Oroville suffered their biggest  loss yet this season on Wednesday. They were the victim of a  tough 70-45 defeat at the hands of Las Plumas. Oroville was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  47-24.
 The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was  Ethan Broussard, who  scored 14 points along with seven  rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Brayden Campbell, who  scored seven points.
 Meanwhile, Gridley waltzed into their match  on Friday with four straight wins  but they left with five. They enjoyed a cozy  68-50 victory over Orland. 68 seems to be a good number for Gridley as the  team scooped up a  win with the same number of  points in their previous game.
 Oroville's loss was  their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  bumped their record down to 6-10. As for Gridley, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won seven of their last eight contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
