Baseball Recap: TMI-Episcopal Has No Trouble Against St. Michael's

TMI-Episcopal hadn't done well against St. Michael recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Warriors. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Ankith Padala was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over six innings pitched. TMI-Episcopal is 3-1 when Padala allows two or fewer hits, but 5-11 otherwise. Padala was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Brody Worrich was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Brock Grullon was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

TMI-Episcopal always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

TMI-Episcopal's win bumped their record up to 8-12. As for St. Michael's, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 14 of their last 18 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-17 record this season.

As of now, neither TMI-Episcopal nor St. Michael's have any future games scheduled.
