New Manna Christian can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Southview Christian 91-46 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory New Manna Christian has posted yet this season.
Wagner continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 31 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. A J Goode was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Meanwhile, Victory Christian Academy came tearing into Tuesday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with an 80-67 victory over Southview Christian. Given Victory Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 256th, while Southview Christian is ranked 539th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Victory Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Thompson, who scored 19 points. Thompson is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Lloyd Hampton, who scored 13 points.
New Manna Christian is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Victory Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as both teams are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. New Manna Christian hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 69.1 points per game.
