The South Bend Career Academy Trailblazers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They took a 40-25 bruising from Clinton Christian. South Bend Career Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Clinton Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Despite the loss, South Bend Career Academy had strong showings from Alana Wright, who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds, and Adara Machowiak, who scored 7 points along with 19 rebounds. Machowiak scored a full 28% of South Bend Career Academy's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
South Bend Career Academy bumped their record down to 1-7 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Clinton Christian, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Bend Career Academy will square off against Granger Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Clinton Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Trinity at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th.
