The Arrowhead Christian Academy Eagles will head out on the road to challenge Jefferson Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Arrowhead Christian Academy has three straight wins, Jefferson Prep has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Arrowhead Christian Academy put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 69-14 win over Sonoran Science Academy. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 51-14.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arrowhead Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Asa Shaw, who scored 15 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cristian DeLaCruz, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, Jefferson Prep ended up a good deal behind Sonoran Science Academy on Wednesday and lost 47-32.
Arrowhead Christian Academy's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.4 points per game. As for Jefferson Prep, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
