Cole Redden gave up the fewest earned runs he has since back in March on Tuesday. He did his part (and then some), striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits for the 'W'. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

Redden's strong effort led Southwest EC over Central and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles are 8-1 against the Spartans going back to April of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
