Softball Recap: Monday's Win Is Gobles' 13th in Last 14 Outings

Gobles won the last time they faced Fennville and things went their way on Monday too. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 21-7 margin over the Blackhawks. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 contests by eight runs or more this season.

Rosie Bowman was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlyn Myers, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four RBI, one run, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Gobles kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fennville only managed nine hits.

Gobles is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.6 runs over those games. As for Fennville, they dropped their record down to 5-12 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gobles will challenge Decatur at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fennville, they will take on Coloma at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
