Sophia Gannon made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

The win got Woodford County back to even at 5-5-1. As for Spencer County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
