The Norman Tigers were the 51-41 winner over the Yukon Millers when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Norman fell just short of Yukon by a score of 41-39.
When it comes to explaining why Norman lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Keeley Parks. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. Parks is absolutely dominating the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ady Hybl, who scored ten points.
Norman's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Yukon, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home.
Norman will head out on the road to take on Edmond Santa Fe at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oklahoma (Edmond Santa Fe is ranked 73rd, while Norman is ranked 71st). As for Yukon, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Putnam City West at 6:00 p.m.
