Notre Dame suffered a letdown when it was bounced from the state Top 25 this week after a 35-27 loss to Chaminade. The Knights had been ranked 19th, but fell to 36 following the defeat.
Loyola was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating Loyola 24-14. The Cubs came in at 23 in the state poll after placing at number 27 last week.
Notre Dame's Kelly Hilinski and Koa Farmer have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Serra in both passing and receiving yards. Hilinski has thrown for 729 yards this season, while Farmer, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 11 catches for 208 yards. Wyatt Bradford from Loyola leads the league in rushing with 578 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Crespi and Michael Christensen's team. The Celts enters the game ranked 12th in the state, while the Cubs ranks 23rd.
Two highly touted recruits will be in the spotlight when Alemany and Kevin Rooney's team meet this week. The Warriors features well-regarded defensive back Steven Mitchell while the Knights has Khalfani Muhammad, a sought after senior.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Alemany takes on Notre Dame. Dean Herrington's team has allowed 83 points this season, while the Knights have given up 82. The Warriors allowed 13 points last week as they beat Norco.
Bishop Amat took down Culver City 31-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
