It was a good run, but the Dyersburg Trojans unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 73-54 bruising from Huntingdon. Dyersburg was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Huntingdon apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Despite the loss, Dyersburg still got an impressive performance from Joya Crawford, who scored 26 points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Chelby Jordan, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Dyersburg's defeat dropped their record down to 16-3. As for Huntingdon, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.
Dyersburg will head out on the road to face off against Obion County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Obion County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 91st, while Dyersburg is ranked 19th). As for Huntingdon, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Camden Central at 6:00 p.m.
