Two dominant  players in  Javier Martinez and  Nick Zarate are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Hidalgo Pirates will head out on the road to face off against the Jubilee Brownsville Titans at 8:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Hidalgo has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
 Winning is just a little bit easier when  you work as a team to  post nine more assists than your opponent, a fact Hidalgo proved  on Tuesday. They strolled past STX with  points to spare, taking the game  59-41. The  win was just what Hidalgo needed coming off of a  57-33 defeat in their prior  game.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hidalgo to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Troy Sanchez, who  scored 12 points along with five  steals. Those five  steals set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was  Edgar Jauregui, who  scored ten points along with six  rebounds.
 Meanwhile, Jubilee Brownsville was just a bucket shy of victory  on Friday and fell  37-36 to IDEA Edinburg College Prep. Jubilee Brownsville has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Hidalgo's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Jubilee Brownsville, they have  not been sharp recently, as they've  lost four of their last five contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
 Things could have been worse for Hidalgo, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a  67-53 loss to Jubilee Brownsville in their previous meeting  back in January. Can Hidalgo avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
