Eastside has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Metamora Redbirds at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Even though Eastside has not done well against Lenape recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Eastside snuck past Lenape with a 57-52 win. The victory was just what Eastside needed coming off of a 69-40 loss in their prior match.
Eastside got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jahaan Green out in front who scored 16 points. Will Love was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Metamora posted their biggest win since December 19, 2023 on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 68-46 margin over Dunlap. The success was a return to things as normal for Metamora, who in their previous outing suffered a shocking 63-62 upset defeat to Thornton.
Eastside's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Metamora, their win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-4.
