Gary had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Elysian Fields Yellowjackets as they made off with a 48-25 win. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Elysian Fields still got an impressive performance from Brandon Kennedy, who posted 20 points. That was a full 80% of Elysian Fields' points, marking the third time in a row he's had more than a third of the team's points.

Gary's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 21-8. As for Elysian Fields, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-15 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Gary Bobcats face off against the Tenaha Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Gary has won 12 straight at home, while Tenaha won six straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Elysian Fields, they will host Timpson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
