The Ludlow Panthers had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They put the hurt on Holy Cross with a sharp 38-13 win. The result was nothing new for Ludlow, who have now won four contests by 25 points or more so far this season.
Although Holy Cross took the loss, they still got scores from Devonte Ryan and Ulysses Porter.
Ludlow's victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 4-3. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-11 Pendleton County and 4-5 Bishop Brossart (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 35.6% over those games). As for Holy Cross, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
Ludlow will head out on the road to face off against Paris at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Holy Cross, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Newport at 7:00 p.m.
