Despite the loss, Big Sandy still got an impressive performance from Bailey Berry, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. That was a full 52.4% of Big Sandy's points, marking the ninth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Big Sandy struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They are winless (0-5) when they just don't pass the ball.
Big Sandy dropped their record down to 1-14 with that loss, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Houston County, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.
Big Sandy will head out on the road to take on Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Houston County, they will be playing at home against McEwen at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
