After losing to the Ariton Purple Cats the last time they met, the Providence Christian Eagles decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Providence Christian blew past Ariton 63-41.
Ariton's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Matthew McNair, who scored 11 points along with 7 rebounds. McNair scored a full 26.8% of Ariton's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Ian Senn was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 3 steals.
Providence Christian now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Ariton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Providence Christian will head out on the road to face off against Long at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ariton and Straughn will face off at 7:00 p.m. on November 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
