East Canton scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. Everything went their way against Tuscarawas Central Catholic as East Canton made off with a 52-30 win. The victory was familiar territory for East Canton who now have three in a row.
Meanwhile, Newcomerstown came into Wednesday's contest having lost 11 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on Tuscarawas Central Catholic with a sharp 52-32 win on Wednesday. The win was just what Newcomerstown needed coming off of a 68-36 loss in their prior game.
East Canton pushed their record up to 10-8 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Newcomerstown, their victory ended a 16-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-18.
East Canton strolled past the Trojans in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 48-30. Will East Canton repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
