After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Highland Prep, the Northland Prep Academy Spartans were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They snuck past Pinon with a 50-44 victory. That's another feather in the cap for Northland Prep Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Northland Prep Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaden Joiner, who scored 20 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Dylan Mortensen, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Northland Prep Academy's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Pinon, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.
Northland Prep Academy will head out on the road to challenge BASIS Phoenix at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pinon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hopi at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
