It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Omaha Westside Warriors had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by Creighton Prep at home to the tune of 54-6. The victory was just business as usual for Omaha Westside, who after ten games remain undefeated this season.
Omaha Westside had a senior duo take command as Anthony Rezac threw for 228 yards and four touchdowns while completing 76.2% of his passes and Jahmez Ross rushed for 149 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Jones, who picked up 117 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Omaha Westside pushed their record up to 11-0 with that victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 40.55 points. As for Creighton Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
Omaha Westside will face off against Bellevue West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams might be coming in a bit winded given how much these teams ran in their prior games. Creighton Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
