East Wake Academy put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the Neuse Charter Cougars get on the board and left with a 19-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jordan Fuentes was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Fuentes was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Weston Dixon was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Jordan Driver, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

East Wake Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .676. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .581 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

East Wake Academy's record is now 3-0. As for Neuse Charter, their record is now 0-2.

Looking ahead, East Wake Academy will head out on the road to face off against Wakefield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in East Wake Academy's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season. As for Neuse Charter, they will face off against Eastern Wayne at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
