River Valley has gone a perfect 5-0 against Tonopah Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Dust Devils are taking a road trip to face off against the Phoenix at 3:45 p.m. One thing working in River Valley's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
On Monday, River Valley got the win against Odyssey Institute by a conclusive 14-4. The Dust Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.

Hunter Koehler was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more RBI the last three times he's played. Mikey Gonzalez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
River Valley hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Odyssey Institute struck out 11 times.
Meanwhile, Tonopah Valley came up short against Kingman on Tuesday and fell 4-1. The Phoenix haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
Tonopah Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tony Enriquez, who went 1-for-3 with one run.
River Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.1 runs over those games. As for Tonopah Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. River Valley hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .328. However, it's not like Tonopah Valley struggles in that department as they've averaged .336. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
River Valley came out on top in a nail-biter against Tonopah Valley in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, sneaking past 4-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dust Devils since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
