Ashton Billings was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with 8 rebounds and 6 assists. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Altamonte Christian's points. Samuel Santana was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 6 rebounds.
Despite the defeat, Umatilla saw an underclassman step up: Herly Brutus dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 rebounds. Brutus is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jalen Pressley, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Altamonte Christian's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Umatilla, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.
Altamonte Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Hope Academy at 7:00 p.m. on December 8th. Hope Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 608 points over their last nine games. As for Umatilla, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Belleview at 7:30 p.m.
