Buena Park got themselves on the board against Katella on Wednesday, but Katella never followed suit. They blew past the Knights 6-0. Considering the Coyotes have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Not much got past Mia Gonzalez, who gave up just a hit and racked up 14 Ks to keep Katella off the board. Gonzalez has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 13 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Buena Park let Lily Phillips and Layla Hinojos run wild. Phillips went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs, while Hinojos went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Buena Park was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They are 7-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Buena Park pushed their record up to 11-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for Katella, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-10 record.
