Madison is 6-0 against Shawe Memorial since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. Last Saturday, Madison came up short against Austin and fell 72-61. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Madison in their matchups with Austin: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the defeat, Madison had strong showings from Landon True, who scored 26 points, and Quincy Reynolds, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds. Reynolds scored a full 32.8% of Madison's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of ?scar Gonzalez, who scored four points along with five assists.
Meanwhile, Shawe Memorial scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 58-40 win over Crothersville.
Madison's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Shawe Memorial, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Madison took their win against Shawe Memorial in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 by a conclusive 63-41. Does Madison have another victory up their sleeve, or will Shawe Memorial turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
