Notus has gone a perfect 9-0 against Rimrock recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Pirates will take on the Raiders at 12:00 p.m. One thing working in Notus' favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
Notus came out on top against Wilder on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run sixth inning. The Pirates were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Wildcats. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Emalee Thomas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up 12 Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cierra Norris, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged two or more in each of the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Fatima Alvarez, who went 2-for-5 with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Notus always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .564. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .533 or higher in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Rimrock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against Garden Valley, falling 19-4.
Notus' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-5. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Rimrock, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
Notus was able to grind out a solid win over Rimrock when the teams last played back in April of 2022, winning 6-2. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
