The Hinckley-Big Rock Royals won the last time they faced the Flanagan/Woodland Falcons, and things went their way on Thursday too. Hinckley-Big Rock strolled past Flanagan/Woodland with points to spare, taking the game 40-26.
Flanagan/Woodland lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Grace Longmire, who scored six points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Derossett, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Hinckley-Big Rock has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Flanagan/Woodland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hinckley-Big Rock and Hiawatha will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Flanagan/Woodland will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tremont at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2024.
