Estelline/Hendricks were the 58-54 winner over the Deubrook Dolphins when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Estelline/Hendricks took a hard 63-47 fall against Deubrook on Thursday.
It was another big night for Jake Jorenby, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 11 rebounds for Deubrook. Jorenby has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Gavin Landmark, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 16 rebounds.
Estelline/Hendricks' loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Deubrook, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Estelline/Hendricks' homestand continues as they prepare to take on Oldham-Ramona/R at 7:15 p.m. on January 16th. Oldham-Ramona/R is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Deubrook, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tri-Valley at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Tri-Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully Deubrook likes a good challenge.
