South Broward moved up to 369 from 397 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 7A District 15. The Bulldogs were able to move up by beating Western 14-13.
South Broward made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,678 from 8,622. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 14-13 victory over the Wildcats last week.
St. Thomas Aquinas's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Wade Freebeck threw for 89 yards and Madre London had 48 yards receiving. On the ground London contributed 45 yards. Sean Bender helped St. Thomas Aquinas' passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 27 yards.
London was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 12 carries, he ran for 45 yards as the Raiders fell to Deerfield Beach. Teammate Deltron Sands added to the ground attack by rushing for 12 yards.
St. Thomas Aquinas' offense cannot be tamed this season and the Raiders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Freebeck has thrown for 1,512 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, while Jawuan Harris has 27 catches for 395 yards.
