The Norwich Free Academy Wildcats will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Killingly Redmen at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Norwich Free Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday.
Norwich Free Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success. They took down Fitch 57-38. The win made it back-to-back wins for Norwich Free Academy.
Norwich Free Academy can attribute much of their success to Jordyn Bay-kent, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and five blocks, and Nevaeh Yorke, who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and seven assists. Those five blocks set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Selia Atchinson, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Killingly came up short against Fitch two weeks ago and fell 44-37.
Norwich Free Academy now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Killingly, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Norwich Free Academy came up short against Killingly in their previous matchup back in February, falling 53-47. Can Norwich Free Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
