Manteca is a perfect 10-0 against Sierra since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Buffaloes will welcome the Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Manteca's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Sierra has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
Manteca will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Central Catholic, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Buffaloes simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Raiders 49-7. The Buffaloes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 29 points or more this season.

Nikko Juarez had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 293 yards and three TDs while picking up 16.3 yards per carry. Those 293 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Maava Tialavea, who rushed for 59 yards and a pair of scores on only six carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Manteca was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 354 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Manteca didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Jayden Harris.
Meanwhile, Sierra ended up a good deal behind Mountain House on Friday and lost 28-10.
Despite the loss, Sierra saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Darien East rushed for 113 yards and one touchdown. East's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 113 rushing yards.
Manteca's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Sierra, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Manteca has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 213.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Sierra struggles in that department as they've been averaging 179.3 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Manteca against Sierra when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 60-21 win. Will the Buffaloes repeat their success, or do the Timberwolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
