It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Weiser Wolverines can now relate to. They received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 25-7 to Sugar-Salem. Weiser's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Kolin Cook threw for 77 yards and a touchdown. Brock Spencer was his top target, picking up 60 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Sugar-Salem had a senior duo take command as Tate Cutler gained 101 total yards and two touchdowns and Carson Harris rushed for 85 yards and two touchdowns. Harris has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played.
Weiser's defeat dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Sugar-Salem, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Weiser does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sugar-Salem is on the road again on Saturday and play against Teton at 4:00 p.m. on November 18th. Teton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Sugar-Salem likes a good challenge.
