The Houston Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Brentwood Bruins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Houston comes in on ten and Brentwood on 13.
With a playoff game on the line, Houston rose to the challenge on Friday. They put the hurt on the Red Devils with a sharp 30-10 victory. Considering Houston has won eight matches by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Houston's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chandler Day, who threw for 224 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes. Day has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last five times he's played. Damon Sisa also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Brentwood was able to grind out a solid win over Ravenwood on Friday, taking the game 27-20.
Houston has yet to lose a game on the road this season, leaving them with a 11-2 record. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28.44 points. As for Brentwood, their win bumped their record up to 13-0.
