Parker had lost seven straight, but after bumping their record up to 7-11 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top against the Riverside Generals by a score of 10-7. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-9 back in March.

D Lovelace was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. He is becoming a predictor of Parker's success: when he allows at most one hit the team is 2-1 (and 5-10 when he doesn't). Lovelace was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on J Sands, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of A Pire, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Parker kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
As for Riverside, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games.
On Riverside's side, Kenton Scott was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). Scott was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
In other batting news, Rylan Covington made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Theodore Whittle, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Parker does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Riverside, they will square off against Westside at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolverines have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.39 runs per game on average), something the Generals will no doubt try to take advantage of.
