The result came thanks to Jack Sams's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up 15 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, Lexington Catholic got a big performance out of Jake Scott, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double. That double marked the first that Scott has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Bennie Lawrence, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. However, it's not like George Rogers Clark struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
