Wiregrass is 3-0 against Southern Christian since January of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Wiregrass Kings will host the Southern Christian Patriots at 7:00 p.m. Wiregrass has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 170 points over their last three games.

Despite the defeat, Wiregrass had strong showings from Brayden Treadaway, who posted 17 points and three steals, and Graysen Ellison, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 14 points. What's more, Ellison also racked up three assists, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Tucker Duren was another key player, putting up nine points.
Meanwhile, Southern Christian played a tough match on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Evangel Christian 69-37. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 345th, while the Lightning are ranked 84th).
Wiregrass will need focus on slowing down Gabriel Decker, one of several Southern Christian players who made an impact when they last played. He put up seven points and four steals. Decker has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Johnson, who went 6 of 15 en route to 14 points and seven rebounds.
Wiregrass has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 15 of their last 16 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season. As for Southern Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Wiregrass has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 30.1 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Southern Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 32.4 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Everything came up roses for Wiregrass against Southern Christian in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as the team secured a 75-37 win. In that game, Wiregrass amassed a halftime lead of 53-20, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
