Lincoln Christian put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Falls City Tigers as Lincoln Christian made off with a 19-1 victory. The Crusaders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by ten runs or more this season.
Eilam Bryson and Ian Brester made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Bryson didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Brester tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Bryson gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in March of 2024. At bat, Bryson got on base in three of his four plate appearances with five RBI and three runs, while Brester scored four runs while going 2-for-4. That's the most RBI Bryson has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Lincoln Christian got a massive performance out of Grant DeHaan, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI DeHaan has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Zach Clough, who scored three runs while going 1-for-3.
Lincoln Christian hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts every time they've taken the field this season.
