The Panguitch Bobcats will challenge the Wayne Badgers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Panguitch took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Piute as they made off with a 46-25 win. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Thunderbirds recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Panguitch's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Annie Yardley led the charge by putting up 11 points and six steals. Those six steals gave Yardley a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lillee Torgersen, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine boards.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wayne). They blew past North Sevier 63-39 on Thursday. The Badgers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 21 points or more this season.
Panguitch better keep an eye on AJ VanDyke. She was instrumental in Wayne's win, going 7-for-17 to rack up 30 points and eight rebounds. With that strong performance, VanDyke is now averaging an impressive 17.2 points per game. Another player making a difference was Bree Torgerson, who posted nine points and three blocks.
Panguitch's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Wayne, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Panguitch has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 31.8 boards per game. However, it's not like Wayne struggles in that department as they've been averaging 28.2 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Panguitch came up short against Wayne when the teams last played back in March, falling 56-50. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of VanDyke, who shot 56% from the field en route to 23 points along with seven boards and three steals. Now that the Bobcats know the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
