Dansville is 2-8 against Livonia since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Mustangs will host the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. Dansville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.
On Friday, Dansville was able to grind out a solid victory over Avon, taking the game 7-3. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Braves recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Dansville let Trea Nickerson and Sean Everett run wild. Nickerson went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Everett got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two RBI.
Meanwhile, Livonia made easy work of Le Roy on Friday and carried off an 11-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.
Seth Eadie was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2025. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aaron Kime, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Jake Benitez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Livonia's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Dansville, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Dansville has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Livonia struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Dansville might still be hurting after the 11-1 defeat they got from Livonia when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Will the Mustangs have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
