Basketball Recap: Tayshawn Bahe Key Part of a Team Effort in Eagles Win

Flagstaff won the last time they faced Moon Valley and things went their way on Thursday too. The Flagstaff Eagles came out on top against the Moon Valley Rockets by a score of 50-41. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Flagstaff's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tayshawn Bahe led the charge by going 5 of 12 on his way to 10 points and eight rebounds. Those eight boards gave Bahe a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Andersen, who posted six points and six rebounds.

Moon Valley's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Sepulveda, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 10 points and four steals. Sepulveda is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Elias Tenorio, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 10 points.

The win got Flagstaff back to even at 7-7. As for Moon Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-11.

Flagstaff didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-53 victory against Estrella Foothills on the 27th. As for Moon Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 65-57 defeat against Shadow Mountain on the 27th.
