There's no place like home for the Bangor Slaters, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They put the hurt on Pen Argyl with a sharp 62-37 win on Tuesday. That looming 62-37 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Bangor yet this season.
Despite the defeat, Pen Argyl saw an underclassman step up: Mason Soos scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Soos has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Kennedy, who scored five points along with eight assists and five rebounds.
Even though they lost, Pen Argyl were working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Bangor's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-10. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points per game. As for Pen Argyl, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-18.
Bangor will head out on the road to face off against Northwestern Lehigh at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pen Argyl does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
