Despite the loss, North Fort Myers still got an impressive performance from Isaiah Newson, who scored 22 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Khalid Bourne, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
North Fort Myers struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Cypress Lake racked up 11 assists.
Cypress Lake's win bumped their record up to 9-11. As for North Fort Myers, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-12.
Cypress Lake will head out on the road to face off against Bishop Verot at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Bishop Verot focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday. As for North Fort Myers, North Fort Myers and Fort Myers will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Fort Myers presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than North Fort Myers in Florida (Fort Myers is ranked 208th, while North Fort Myers is ranked 556th).
