The Conotton Valley Rockets will face off against the Tuscarawas Valley Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Conotton Valley is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 21-2 margin over Malvern on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rockets.
Brooklyn Kelley and Maddison Kelley made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Kelley tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run but no hits. Meanwhile, Maddison tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 11 consecutive appearances. At the plate, Kelley went 2-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Maddison went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Brooklyn Davis was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jenica Frutig, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Tuscarawas Valley got the win against Carrollton on Saturday by a conclusive 16-3. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Tuscarawas Valley got a big performance out of Hailee Rotunno, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Morgan Wright, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs.
Tuscarawas Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Carrollton only posted an OBP of .238.
Tuscarawas Valley's victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Conotton Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 22-2.
Conotton Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Tuscarawas Valley in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 3-0. Do the Rockets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
