The Norcross Blue Devils came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Duluth 73-29 at home. The result was nothing new for Norcross, who have now won three contests by 33 points or more so far this season.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaylie Zirger, who scored 5 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayla Alexander, who scored 8 points.
Norcross' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Duluth, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Norcross will head out on the road to face off against Berkmar at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Berkmar will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 452nd, while Norcross is ranked 24th). As for Duluth, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Meadowcreek at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
