After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Martin County, the Sebastian River Sharks were happy to have found some success on Friday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 72-12 victory over Port St. Lucie. With that win, Sebastian River brought their scoring average up to 53 points per game.
Daphne Gibson was the offensive standout of the matchup as she scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Bowen, who scored 12 points.
The win got Sebastian River back to even at 1-1. As for Port St. Lucie, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sebastian River will take on South Fork at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Port St. Lucie, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Somerset College Prep Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
