The Prince George Royals will head out on the road to challenge the Clover Hill Cavaliers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Prince George knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Clover Hill likes a good challenge.
On Friday, Prince George made easy work of L.C. Bird and carried off an 18-1 victory. The win continues a trend for the Royals in their matchups with the Skyhawks: they've now won six in a row.

Kaylee Moody made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (four). She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
In other batting news, Kasey Sulc was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Riley Hacker also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Prince George kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matchups.
Midlothian hit Clover Hill with a four-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cavaliers lost 14-4 to the Trojans. The defeat continues a trend for the Cavaliers in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost eight in a row.
Alejandra Wittman was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Cayla Wright, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.
Prince George's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Clover Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
Clover Hill's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Prince George has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.9 hits per game. It's a different story for Clover Hill, though, as they've been averaging 8.7 hits. Given Prince George's sizable advantage in that area, the Cavaliers will need to find a way to close that gap.
Prince George couldn't quite get it done against Clover Hill in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 19-15. Can the Royals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
