The Trinity Chargers will face off against the Midland Classical Academy Knights at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
Trinity had to start their season on the road two weeks ago, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were the victim of a tough 40-18 defeat at the hands of Cornerstone Christian.
Midland Classical Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 24 points or more this season. They really took it to All Saints Episcopal School for the full four quarters, racking up a 76-16 victory at home. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 50-10.
Midland Classical Academy relied on the efforts of Addie Dunn, who scored 27 points along with 3 steals, and Mariah Davis, who scored 23 points along with 9 steals and 7 assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which Davis has scored at least 25% of Midland Classical Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Evyn Berridge, who scored 6 points.
Trinity's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Midland Classical Academy, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Trinity took a serious blow against Midland Classical Academy in their previous meeting back in November of 2016, falling 63-23. Can Trinity avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
