The New Milford Green Wave will head out on the road to square off against the Notre Dame Catholic Lancers at 6:00 p.m. New Milford will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
New Milford scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 75-8 win over Bunnell on the road. New Milford has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 21 points or more this season.
Notre Dame Catholic fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 50-38 win over Weston on Thursday.
Madison Gibbs was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendra Mitacek, who scored eight points along with three steals.
New Milford has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Notre Dame Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 4-12.
New Milford strolled past the Lancers when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a score of 49-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for New Milford since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
